    Hyun Mook LIM is currently the Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), a UNESCO Centre based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Prior to assuming this position, he worked as Assistant Secretary General for Education at the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, where he had started his professional career in 1992. He has taught at Sungkyunkwan University as a visiting professor. He received a Ph.D. in Political Thought from Sogang University, Republic of Korea and M.A. in International Studies from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA.

    Ilan Kelman is Professor of Disasters and Health at University College London, England and a Professor II at the University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway. His overall research interest is linking disasters and health, including the integration of climate change into disaster research and health research. That covers three main areas: (i) disaster diplomacy and health diplomacy (http://www.disasterdiplomacy.org) ; (ii) island sustainability involving safe and healthy communities in isolated locations (http://www.islandvulnerability.org); and (iii) risk education for health and disasters (http://www.riskred.org).

    Bert J. Tuga graduated from the Philippine Normal University(PNU) in 2004 with a B.S. in Psychology, Cum Laude. He has a M.A. in Teaching and a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction earned from the same university in 2007 and 2016, respectively. He has also completed a Ph.D. Sandwich Program from the Ohio State University, USA. Bert J. Tuga has handled the following positions in PNU: Executive Director and Provost of PNU Visayas in 2016; VP for University Relations and Advancement in 2017; and VP for Finance and Administration in 2018. At present, he is the President of the PNU. Outside the University, he is the current Executive Director of the United Nations Association of the Philippines and Board Member of Professional Association of Teachers of Educational Foundations. Bert J. Tuga is an alumnus of APCEIU under its APTW on EIU in 2010.

    Dylan Wray is Co-founder and Director of Shikaya, a South Africa based non-profit organization that supports teachers and school leaders to ensure young people leave school thinking critically, and acting as compassionate, engaged, democratic citizens. Since 2005, in partnership with Facing History and Ourselves, Shikaya has trained over 10,000 teachers and reached over 1 million young people. Dylan works globally as a facilitator, materials developer, and an author. He is the co-author of A School Where I Belong - Creating Transformed and Inclusive South African Schools.

    Rilli Lappalainen is the Founder and Chair of Bridge 47 which is a global network to bring people together to share and learn with the help of global citizenship education. Global citizenship education has been the redline of Rilli´s work and life from local scouts to global networking. Rilli has experiences of working in all continents from local projects to UN level policy processes. Currently, Rilli is the Director of Sustainable development in Fingo, Finnish Development NGOs. Rilli’s educational background in engineering, education and international politics has supported his passion to find better ways to integrate learning and education in politics and practices.

    Lester Edwin J. Ruiz is the Director of Accreditation and Global Engagement of The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the US and Canada. He served as Professor of Theology and Culture and Academic Dean at New York Theological Seminary, Associate professor of Political Science at International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan, and Director of the Transnational Academic Program of the World Order Models Project. Lester Ruiz is also the recipient of the 1990 UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. He has co-edited several books and contributed to numerous books and journals globally. He is also a consultant for the global network, Churches Witnessing with Migrants. Lester Ruiz holds a Ph.D. in Social ethics from Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey, USA.

    Akpezi Ogbuigwe is a respected and high-profile expert in transformational change in Africa, environmental law, environmental education, and climate change education. She was a former Head of Environmental Education and Training (2002-2012) and later Coordinator of the Ecosystem Management Sub-Programme at the United Nations Environment Programme (2013-2014). Before that, she was Dean, Faculty of Law, Rivers State University. Akpezi Ogbuigwe is the Founder of Anpez Centre for Environment and Development. She currently serves as Board Member, Earth Charter International; Associate, KIKO Educational, London. Until December 2019, she served with four global experts as a Juror for the UNESCO/Japan Prize for ESD.

    Lorena Gamarra is an Academic Consultant for Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Her work is focused on the fields of education, youth leadership development, cross-cultural understanding, and arts. In 2012, Lorena Gamarra co-founded Consilium, an International Relations Club for university students. She is the current president of SWYAA Perú, an organisation that promotes cross-cultural understanding and youth contribution to society. She is a volunteer organiser at TEDxTukuy, and a mentor at ELider. Between 2016 and 2018 she was part of the core team of the GCED Youth Network. At UPC university, Lorena organizes service-learning activities and teaches in the Leadership Program. She facilitates workshops on GCED for high school and university students, educators, and other youth organisations.

    Jeongmin EOM is currently the Head of Office of Research and Development of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), a UNESCO Centre to promote Global Citizenship Education. She has been working at APCEIU since 2008 as Chief/Head of Research and Development, Education and Training, and International Teacher Exchange. She holds a B.A. in Political Science at Yonsei University, ROK, M.Ed. at the University of Alberta, Canada, and Ph.D. candidacy in Anthropology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, USA, as well as in Education at Yonsei University.
